If you or a family member are in Mass and cannot walk up to receive communion, please let the priest know before Mass begins so that he can bring to communion to you in your pew.

Welcome All Archdiocese of Mobile CYO Families! All athletes, cheerleaders, coaches and families are invited to The CYO Kick-Off Mass held right here in our beautiful St. Mary Catholic Church. 
 
Carmel Health Donations
Carmel Heath Network, a pediatric clinic in Mobile, is requesting school supply donations for its tutorial program in working with less fortunate. Containers are in the vestibules of the church for donations.

Lifeteen begins September 17th!
 Melanie Karolenko, St. Mary's New Director of Youth Ministry is pleased to announce the upcoming kick off and calendar dates for Edge and Lifeteen.   
Meals and Snacks Needed for Weekly Meetings!  Each Sunday our Edge Middle School Group meets from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and our Lifeteen High School Group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Seton Center.  Edge is in need of snacks and beverages and Lifeteen is in need of meals and beverages. Suggested meals are lasagnas, casseroles, pizza, soups, sandwiches,  etc....be creative and bring on your cooking talent! Beverages like tea, water, lemonade and soft drinks, and snacks including fruits, vegetables, chips, cheeses, etc. are welcome!  Whether you are a parent of one of the participants or a parishioner who wants to support this important ministry, your meals are welcome!  You can also partner with others on the meal. Plan for approximately 20 participants in each group week.

CCD
CCD Registration takes place August 26 following the 5 p.m.Vigil Mass and August 27 following the 9 and 11:30 a.m.Masses. Registration also takes place September 9 following the 5 p.m. Vigil and September 10 following the 9 and 11:30 a.m. Masses.  CCD Classes begin Sunday, September 17 at 10:15 a.m. in the St. Mary Catholic School Building.This program is parishioners in kindergarten through 8th grade currently not attending Catholic School.   For more information, contact Parish Catechetical Director, Teresa Gill at This email address is being protected from spambots. RCIA
For all adults interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the Catholic Faith.  Classes begin Thursday, September 7 at 7 p.m.

Confirmation
All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders are asked to register for The Sacrament of Confirmation.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is available to all those entering 11th grade. There will be monthly gatherings starting the first Tuesday in October for students to attend in preparation for the gift of this Sacrament. The Sacrament of Confirmation will then be ministered in Spring 2018 (date TBA). More information and a calendar will be provided for you after you register and the program is planned.

First Evening for Married Couples of the Year!

What St. Mary Means to Me! 
Presented by the Montague and Naman Families
As our 150 year celebration continues, we are asking each couple to bring items to be placed as centerpieces representing what St. Mary means to them. Items for center pieces are need by September 7. Feel free to bring two place settings of your china, special wine glasses, flatware and anything that makes you feel at home! 
Event takes place in St. Mary Sisters of Mercy Builidng.
$25 per couple.  Bring a bottle of wine to share!
